A mere 14 year old when she first attended Fatima Chekkor's course in the Centre du Marais in Paris, Myrto didn't know that she would fall in love with belly dance, and that she would soon feel totally fulfilled in her job both as a performer and as a teacher.

She soon became a professional dancer, giving performances in private parties and galas, famous Parisian theatres or well-known oriental restaurants. She has also appeared in French Tv shows.

In 2002, she was awarded a 2nd prize in the First "Open de Danse Orientale", the first national bellydance competition in France.

She regularly attends the worshops of such leading stars as Yousry Sharif, Lucy, Randa Kamal or the Belly Dance Superstars Jillina, Amar Gamal and Rachel Brice.

She also teaches elementary,intermediate and advanced levels in Paris and all over France as well.

In her courses and workshops, she lays great stress on technical approach and a strong feeling for music.

Myrto has also had some training in Flamenco and is currently having singing lessons with Véronique Murillo.

She graduated from Paris University with a degree in English.
